Is that a chill in the air I feel? It’s time to don hoodies and cardigans and check out the plethora of events happening in Nashville this month, like these scrumptious fall food festivals that will have you putting on a few pounds before the winter cold settles in. Enjoy! 🍽️
- When: Oct. 5-6
- Where: Ag Pavilion in Centerville
- Cost: $10
- Why: The hour trip to Centerville is worth it for this charming rural Southern food festival. I mean, it’s ‘nana puddin’, y’all. All proceeds go to local nonprofits. Sample heaps of banana pudding, check out hundreds of vendors, listen to live local music, and let your kids go wild in the “Little 'Nanners Kid’s” area.
- When: Oct. 19-20
- Where: First Horizon Park
- Cost: $79+
- Why: I’m gonna admit, this one’s a bit pricey, but a portion of every ticket sold benefits The Nashville Food Project. 40+ pizza vendors from across the Southeast will be there, and you get unlimited food.
- When: Oct. 19, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Where: New Heights Brewing
- Cost: Free entry
- Why: It’s bacon and beer, need I say more? There will be a bacon-eating contest, heaps of food trucks, a children’s zone, alcohol, and live music. And that price is perfect.
- When: Oct. 26-27
- Where: East Park
- Cost: $10+
- Why: Y’all, I don’t even know what to say about this. Wrestling and hot sauce? I’m talkin’ dozens of hot sauce vendors. There is an event called “The Spicy Tacos of Hell Challenge.” This festival is either a hard yes or a hard no. You know you.
- When: Nov. 1, 6-9 p.m.
- Where: The Yard at oneC1TY
- Cost: $49+
- Why: The general admission tickets get you 12 tequila tastings, plus there’s tacos and a dance party. Seems like a fun way to spend the first day of November!
- When: Nov. 1, 5-9 p.m.
- Where: Historic Nolensville School
- Cost: Free entry
- Why: We all know Nolensville has the best international restaurants in Nashville. This is the festival’s first year, and I can’t wait to check it out!
- When: Nov. 2, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Where: Nashville Farmers' Market
- Cost: Free entry
- Why: “400 pounds of Smiley’s famous cast iron cauldron of braised greens with smoked BBQ, cornbread, and beans.” 👀
