The Nashville job market is tough right now, so we’re here to offer a variety of resources to help you navigate the process. Whether you're updating your resume, applying for positions, or preparing for interviews, here are some local organizations and digital tools we recommend!

The Nashville Public Library offers resources to help with your job search, including personalized assistance, resume writing, and interview preparation. They also host regular job fairs — check their events page for upcoming opportunities. The Jobs Lab provides one-on-one computer help as well as assistance with filing for unemployment benefits. This is a completely free resource and does not require a library card!

Nashville Helps is a volunteer-run organization that connects Nashville residents with free and low-cost services, including job search assistance. Through its online portal, job seekers can find links to local job boards, career counseling, workforce development programs, and community-based training opportunities. Nashville Helps is especially valuable for those seeking holistic support, as it also has resources for transportation, childcare, and other essential needs that can impact employment.

We recommend checking out the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce job board for opportunities across industries like healthcare, music, and hospitality. They also offer networking events and resources for professionals at all stages.

🏢 Jobs4TN

Jobs4TN is a central database of job postings in Tennessee. I found a lot of these listings to be government related, but they also provide tons of upskill programs to help teach you new skills. You can also use this website to file for unemployment benefits. TN residents who have lost their job by no fault of their own can receive up to $325 per week in benefit payments.

✏️ Teal

Teal is a free online suite of tools for navigating the application process. I found this site to be incredibly helpful during my own application process! Its job tracker helps you stay organized by keeping tabs on every position you’ve applied to. You can even rate each job based on factors like excitement, salary, and benefits. Plus, it offers detailed keyword and skill insights tailored to each job posting.
