☔ Nashville Needs Rain

Nashville’s currently experiencing a severe drought, and while it’s supposed to rain over the weekend, it won’t be enough to end it. It’s currently the 10th-driest year in Nashville, and September was the driest ever in 132 years of record-keeping. “It will take a few rainfalls to help improve those conditions, if we’d want to get closer to normal,” says Cory Mueller with the National Weather Service’s Nashville office. How was that money spent? The Contributor breaks down Metro Council’s requirements for that funding, points out discrepancies between those requirements and what OHS reports show, and urges OHS to release a full outline of how those funds were spent and outcomes by the end of the year.
