One of my family’s favorite free holiday activities is to make hot chocolate and drive around neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights. Finding streets with lots of decorations can be tricky, though. So I’ve rounded up some of the best Nashville neighborhoods to see Christmas lights.
Bellevue
In Bellevue, Lute’s Lights is gorgeous. If you’re able, drop off gently used school clothes, coats, and canned food to donate to MNPS students. Afterward, drive through the Avondale and Rolling River neighborhoods.
Belle Meade
Belle Meade definitely follows the “go to the wealthiest neighborhoods” rule. Many homes are decorated on Lynnwood Boulevard and Belle Meade Boulevard.
East Nashville & Beyond
In East Nashville, see the Fatherland archwalk, and drive through Lockeland Springs — which has a holiday lights competition — East End, and the Historic Edgefield neighborhoods. Drive farther east for Old Hickory Village, and make sure to swing by Hughes’ Holiday Lights.
Westhaven in Franklin
Westhaven has beautiful home decorations, and a community Christmas tree. If you get there early, you can walk around the lake trail or visit one of the cute shops in the neighborhood before hopping in your car to see the lights.
Brentwood
Afterward, head to these nearby Brentwood neighborhoods: Princeton Hills, Fountainhead, and McGavock Farms. Practically every home is decorated.

Other Nearby Neighborhoods
Faulkner Court in Hendersonville has a house absolutely decked out in holiday characters, and Fairway Farms in Gallatin often goes all out with decorations. London’s Lights in La Vergne is beautiful, and sometimes Santa makes an appearance. Hey Nashville reader Sheila would like to invite everyone to see her lights at 943 Old Dickerson Pike in Goodlettsville, and says many homes are decorated on that street.
