Fall Break Camps for Nashville Kids

Fall break for Metro Nashville Public School students runs from Oct. 13-17. If you’re looking for child care during that time, here are some fall break camps in Nashville that still have openings. Don’t forget to register for Thanksgiving break while you’re at it.

  • Grades: Pre-K to 5, MNPS students only
  • Where: Cole Elementary School, Inglewood Elementary School, or Jones Elementary School
  • Time: 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $150
  • About: This MNPS fall break program includes meals and snacks, a field trip to meet the Nashville Predators, and hands-on activities. Registration ends Oct. 10.
  • Grades: Pre-K to 5, MNPS students only
  • Where: Six MNPS elementary schools
  • Time: 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Cost: $30/day
  • About: YMCA partners with select MNPS elementary schools for child care throughout the year. If you only need a few days of care and don’t want to register for the entire week, this is the best option.
  • Ages: 6-10
  • Where: Centennial Performing Arts Studios
  • Time: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Cost: $188.58/week
  • About: Kids will have a blast learning how to act like a monster at this Metro Parks theater camp. Friday ends with a monster showcase. Scholarships are available.

  • Time: 9 a.m.-3 p.m., free before and after care
  • Cost: $365/week
  • About: While their “Bluey” and “Paw Patrol”-themed camps are full, Nashville Children’s Theatre still has openings for their “Minecraft” and “The Last Airbender” camps. My kid has so much fun at these camps.
  • Ages: 5-12
  • Where: A New Leaf’s Forest Campus
  • Time: 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Cost: $370/week
  • About: This outdoor school’s fall break program teaches kids how to build shelters, forage for edible plants, make trail maps, and more. It looks like it’s going to be a gorgeous week for outdoor fun!
  • Grades: K-4
  • Where: Adventure Science Center
  • Time: 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., before and after care available at additional cost
  • Cost: $399/week
  • About: The Adventure Science Center’s camp is very popular, and a great way for kids to explore STEM through hands-on activities. Families on SNAP, WIC, or TANF can apply for reduced registration.
  • Ages: 7-13
  • Where: TOCA Soccer Center Nashville
  • Time: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Cost: $500/week
  • About: Nashville SC welcomes kids of all ability levels at their soccer training camp.
