It’s been a hard year financially for many Nashville families. These eight toy drives serve local families and children, ensuring that every child receives gifts this holiday season.

This nonprofit allows families going through hard times to choose the perfect gifts for their children by shopping at its toy store full of new, donated items at no cost. They accept toy donations on select dates at the Highland Park Church and Sheriff’s Office Services Center. Or order from its Amazon wish list. As a warning, the car line to donate can sometimes be quite long. Registration is currently open for families in need of gifts.

Sign up to become a holiday hero and buy gifts from a child’s holiday wish list. Shop by Dec. 7. Many of the children served by this program are local foster kids.

The Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots nonprofit collects new toys and distributes them to local kids in need. Here’s a list of local toy drop-offs, and where you can apply to request a toy. Any toy you bring to Lane Motor Museum for its Toys for Tots bin gets you a free ticket through Dec. 15!
