The winter holidays are upon us, which means school is out. Metro Nashville Public Schools students are off from Dec. 23-Jan. 7, and while the kids might be rejoicing, working parents now have the additional task of finding activities. I’ve tried to make it a bit easier by rounding up some local winter break camps. Many are selling fast, so you’ll want to sign up ASAP if you need childcare during winter break.

- Dates: Dec. 30-Jan. 3
- Time: 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., before and after care available
- Cost: $399/week, before and after care is $30+ per day.
- About: Future engineers can make electronics and learn coding basics.
- Grades: Kindergarten-5th grade
- Where: Select MNPS schools
- Dates: Dec. 23, 26-27, & 30, Jan. 2-3 & 6-7
- Time: 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Cost: $25 a day
- About: Expect fun activities, sports, and crafts.
- Ages: K-6th grade
- Where: Nashville
- Dates: Dec. 23-Jan. 3
- Time: 8 a.m.-3 p.m., after care available until 6 p.m.
- Cost: $222.50+ a week
- About: Kids can participate in numerous activities, from board games to playing music and cooking.
- Ages: 6-14
- Where: Montgomery Bell Academy, Nashville
- Dates: Dec. 27-28
- Time: Half-day sessions from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m.
- Cost: $45+ a session
- About: Get festive with Lego and Minecraft adventures. Sessions can be combined.
- Ages: 3-8
- Where: Franklin
- Dates: Dec. 26-31
- Time: Half-day sessions, or full day from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
- Cost: $319/full day, $179/half day.
- About: Kids will learn the fundamentals of a variety of sports.
- Ages: 3-12

- About: Kids can play on trampolines, foam pits, and ninja equipment.
